COVID-19 (Coronavirus) update

25 March 2020

Message from Sophia Rahmani,
Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director
Maple-Brown Abbott Limited

We are committed to keeping our clients informed of the measures our business is taking to slow the rate of infection and therefore the impact to health systems and the broader economy. Following the recent Australian Government announcements, it is clear that the widespread impact of the COVID-19 continues to evolve and we have subsequently updated our Maple-Brown Abbott Response.

Business Continuity Plan and Pandemic Planning

Given successful testing of the ability for all of our people to work remotely without compromise to our business, we have made the decision that effective from Tuesday 24 March, all Maple-Brown Abbott staff will be working remotely until otherwise advised. We will continue to run in split teams and our teams will still have access to the office, subject to relevant approvals and procedures, as business needs arise. We will of course continue to review this as the situation evolves.

Our technology has been extended to support effective communication whilst working from home, including well-established video conferencing facilities, to allow collaboration between teams. Most importantly, our business remains focused on servicing our clients and we remain confident in our ability to do this effectively.

Employee well-being

We continue to prioritise and support the well-being of our people during these challenging times. Our people will continue to adhere to the Australian Government guidelines to assist them with the identification of the symptoms of COVID-19 and precautions to take including how to protect ourselves and others, and guidelines for social distancing.

Further updates

Maple-Brown Abbott will continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on the well-being of our people and our services to you, and provide updates to you as appropriate. In addition, we are continuing to invest in our business in line with our growth strategy and belief that our firm and our industry will emerge from these challenging times.

Please contact with us if you have any queries or if we can assist you in any way during this difficult time.

We wish the best for your businesses and your people, and thank you again for your ongoing support.

Best wishes,

Sophia Rahmani
