Global Listed Infrastructure Board

Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure Pty Limited operates a fully-functioning and separate Board to Maple-Brown Abbott Limited. The Board is comprised of the investment management team and business principals including Andrew Maple-Brown, Lachlan Pike, Steven Kempler, Justin Lannen, along with three representatives of Maple-Brown Abbott (Robert Lee, Garth Rossler and Richard Grundy), and an independent director, Jon Fitch.

Robert Lee, MBus Admin, BSc

Independent Chairman

Robert was appointed to the Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure Board in November 2015, following his appointment to the Maple-Brown Abbott Limited Board in October 2015. Robert was appointed Chairman of Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure in October 2016 and Chairman of Maple-Brown Abbott in October 2018. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. During a 20 year career with Macquarie Group, Robert held senior roles within the equity capital markets, corporate finance and private equity groups. This included four years as managing director of Macquarie Direct Investments where he was responsible for overseeing four investment trusts with over $500 million of invested capital. Robert has served on the boards of numerous companies in Australia, the USA and Asia.

Andrew Maple-Brown, B Eng B Comm M App Fin CIM

Managing Director

Andrew is the Managing Director of Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure. Andrew has more than 20 years experience in financing and investing in infrastructure assets and securities, having worked at Lend Lease for 5 years and then at Macquarie Group for over 11 years.

Jon Fitch, BComm MBus Grad. Dip. (App. Fin. & Inv.)

Independent Director

Jon Fitch is an experienced equity analyst, portfolio manager and business manager with significant experience in the infrastructure asset class. Jon was responsible for establishing and managing Macquarie’s Global Infrastructure Securities business over the period of 2004-2010. Prior to this, Jon was an analyst in Macquarie’s Securities business (1995-2000) and led the equity research coverage of the Australian infrastructure sector, where he was consistently rated as one of the sector’s leading analysts. Jon has also worked in Hong Kong with Macquarie’s Asian Securities business (2001-2003), where he was responsible for overseeing a Hong Kong based research team as well as coverage of Asian infrastructure and utility stocks.

Justin Lannen, B Eng B Comm CFA

Director

Justin has more than 20 years experience as an analyst and portfolio manager investing in listed infrastructure companies.

Director

Lachlan is a director of Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure. He has more than 14 years experience in financing and investing in real assets, the majority of this in Global Listed Infrastructure.

Sophia Rahmani, B Comm, LLB (Hons), Grad Dip App Fin, GAICD

Director

Sophia was appointed to the Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure Board in November 2019, following her appointment to Maple-Brown Abbott Limited as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director in October 2019. Sophia has extensive leadership experience across financial services and asset management businesses within Australia and globally. Prior to Maple-Brown Abbott, Sophia was the Chief Operating Officer, Pan Asia, for Janus Henderson Investors based in Singapore, having previously been with Henderson Global Investors as Chief Operating Officer, Australia, from 2013. Prior to this, Sophia spent eight years with the Macquarie Group, principally in its asset management division, with experience across strategy, mergers and acquisitions, product and marketing. During this period she spent time based in Sydney, New York and Philadelphia. Sophia started her career as a solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons.

Richard Grundy, B Ec CA

Director

Richard is the Chief Operating Officer of Maple-Brown Abbott.

Richard joined Maple-Brown Abbott in 1994. He was appointed as an executive director and Chief Operating Officer in July 2008. Richard has management responsibility for the operations of the firm and has staff responsibilities for the research team.
